Sushi
Generally, Sushi is made with a boiled steam rice blended with Sushi Vinegar. Sushi Vinegar is made from Rice Vinegar, Salt & Sugar. Some chefs also mix konbu ( seaweed ) to give a hidden touch of flavour.
Did you know....to make 20litre of sushi vinegar uses
11 kg of white sugar
4kg ~ 10kg of salt
20 litre of rice vinegar
1 cup of rice normally use 20~40ml of sushi vinegar.
1 cup of rice = 160gram = 267 calories
Average Deli Sushi uses 2/3 cup of rice = 130gram
Sugar contents per roll = 2~3teaspoon
* 1 teaspoon = 4.2gram = 19 calories
Carbohydrates 100g (100%) = 1 teaspoon of sugar
Calorie per roll = 255 ~ 274 calories ( sushi rice only )

Onigiri is generally made with boiled steam rice slightly mixed with a pinch of salt. Onigiri is known to be eaten for lunch or snack time. It is served in a room tempreture or kept in a open deli fridge.
Onigiri is like the sandwich of Japan.
